Janet Thode, M.ED, OCPS, Syntero’s school-based substance use disorder prevention specialist for Hilliard schools, discusses the importance parents and guardians having age-appropriate conversations with youth to prevent prescription medication abuse and how to open the lines of communication with children, adolescents and teens. Thode also provides helpful tips for proper storage and disposal of prescription medications.
